Can’t seem to get enough of the Art Deco movement?  The Bvlgari Sotirio Mens Watch SBW42WGLAC combines the bold aesthetic of the Art Deco movement with the classic Bvlgari functionality to create a distinctive new design in the world of timepieces.

The Design

This watch is as functional as it is unique. The delicate curving lines on the watch dial make the piece unique without distracting from its utility.  The leather band, coupled with the bronze-colored accents imitating the sunburst motif found so often in Art Deco brings to mind an older world with a modern day technological advances keep you on track and on time.  Usually, the additional tools on watches can be distracting to the viewer’s eye, drawing it in multiple directions at once, but the design of this watch is such that the month and date flow with the timepiece without obstructing the viewer’s focus of the time itself.  The slight curving lines throughout the piece join together for a feeling of fluidity and work well together in spite of the many elements on the watch face and the background detail is interesting without being distracting.

Features

The timepiece boasts an annual calendar, tracks minutes hours, and seconds, and includes a 55 hour power reserve.  The brown alligator wristband will ensure comfort and adds an aura of classic elegance to the piece while the differing colors and distinctions between the numerals and tick marks add depth to the watch, but also make it the timepiece easier to read at a glance.

In addition, this watch boasts sapphire scratch resistant crystal and a water resistance of up to 99 feet.  The watch is beautifully designed and its Swiss manufacture ensures that the watch will run as smoothly as the finish on its gold trimmed accents.  Bvlgari lives up to its name in creating a durable yet stylish, functional, yet unique watch.

Additional features include…

  • 30 meter (99 feet) water resistance level
  • Sapphire scratch resistant crystal
  • Distinctive design
  • Mechanical winding
  • 55 hour Power Reserve
  • 18kt white gold case

However, though the design of the watch is easy on the eye, the lack of numerals and multiple features may distract from readability.

Bvlgari, known for their classic designs and wearability, have outdone themselves this time in coupling the art deco style with the functionality needed for a working (or playing) man in their Sotirio Mens Watch SBW42WGLAC.  Bvlgari has created a piece with old-world elegance, modern day technology, and a sense of timelessness that seems to imbue all of their pieces.
